Maria Bortolotto
Founder | Principal Designer

I’m an interior designer and business owner with more than 40 years of experience in hospitality, business operations and project management.

My background has shaped my understanding of how buildings functions, how spaces are used and the importance of thoughtful, practical design.

After living in France, where i undertook the restoration of a traditional village home, I returned to Australia and established Bortolotto Interiors.

My work encompasses interior design, renovations, drafting, estimating and project co-ordination.

I bring together creative design, technical knowledge and practical experience to develop spaces that are functional, considered and enduring.

I’m not interested in designing to a formula or following trends. I believe in understanding the building, respecting materials and creating spaces that feel right for the people who use them.

Don Bennett
Designer, Partner

Don Bennett is a master craftsman with more than 40 years of experience working with timber. His work ranges from bespoke furniture and one-off pieces to the practical resolution of complex building and design details.

He has a deep understanding of natural materials and traditional techniques, with particular interest in Japanese craftsmanship. His approach is practical and precise, allowing the material and the quality of the workmanship to speak for themselves.

At Bortolotto Interiors, Don brings craftsmanship, technical knowledge and hands-on experience to each project, working alongside Maria from design through to completion.
